Fantastic fare!
A cab driver from Amsterdam was sent to pick up a passenger from a TV studio recently. Little did he know he was there to pick up EUR 7 million - for himself! It was great timing too! His cab firm was in trouble and the bank had just repossessed his house. Now he's the one being driven around town!
Oh, show me home...
A 63 year old bus driver, recently divorced, was having serious financial problems. He didn't even have a place to live. At a shelter for the homeless he met his future wife - and 6 months later they won EUR 2.6 million. That's more than enough to put a roof over their heads!
