PH11 8PH - Blairgowrie - 25 June 2009
Angus took a trip to the country this week to present yet more lucky winners with their share of the £25,000 Street Prize. There were extra surprises in store for one player in the postcode sector too, as he presented them with a brand new MINI!
The first port of call was the workplace of Heather Peggie, who had won an amazing £12,500. Heather plays with her postcode PH11 8PH which is in Glenisla, near Blairgowrie in Perthshire, but Angus chose to surprise her while she was working at nearby Peel Farm Coffee Shop.
Heather immediately recognised Angus as he came through the door and was so surprised she even had trouble remembering her own postcode: “I’m so surprised!” she said. “This sort of thing never happens to me!”
But the surprises didn’t stop there – soon Angus presented her with a cheque for £12,500. Heather grinned: “I’m absolutely speechless, I wasn’t expecting this.”
“Peel Farm is going to have a huge party to celebrate. I’ve played the Postcode Lottery since the beginning so it’s great to be rewarded in this way!”
The next Street Prize winner was Michelle McKiever, who runs Glenisla Hotel. She soon found out that she may be able to take a well-earned holiday though , as Angus revealed a £6,250 cheque.
Michelle joined up in the Play For Free campaign so won her amazing prize without paying a penny to enter. “Wow, amazing,” beamed Michelle. “I’m sure that we’ll use some of this for a holiday, but we’ll also spend a bit on the hotel!”
Although that completed the Street Prize winners, Angus still had one very special prize for lucky Sector Prize winner Fiona Hepworth.
Fiona spotted Angus as he drove up her drive in a brand new red MINI, but it didn’t click that this was her prize until he handed her the keys!
“Wow! Thank you so much, this is wonderful,” Fiona exclaimed. “Good grief, it’s fancy inside! I can’t believe this is happening.”
The tranquillity Perthshire countryside will undoubtedly be a contrast to the excitement of Angus’ next appointment - the Summer ‘Postcode Belter’, which takes place on 5th July. Will it be your postcode that shares the £1,500,000 prize pot?
