New Elgin residents win big!
The town of New Elgin, in Morayshire, was celebrating a ‘Postcode Belter’ win this weekend, when the People’s Postcode Lottery descended to give out prizes totalling £181,000.
Our main winner, dad of two, Ian Morrisson, was overwhelmed when Angus knocked on his door with a cheque for £66,994. His instant reaction was short but sweet: “Gee whizz, that’s amazing!”
And this managed to sum up the feelings of all the lucky residents of this month’s winning postcode as he accompanied Angus to the Dovecot Park in New Elgin. Here, the winning continued, with 137 Sector Winners sharing over £100,000 and one particularly lucky resident.walking away with a brand new MINI One.
Once he’d managed to find some more words to describe his huge win, Ian continued: “This is just amazing, I’ve never won anything before – and I certainly wasn’t expecting Angus Purden to knock on my door with a cheque for £66,994! Winning with the People’s Postcode Lottery means that I don’t have to worry about paying my mortgage any more.”
