CHILDREN 1ST

CHILDREN 1^ST is dedicated to making sure that every child in Scotland has a safe and secure childhood. It helps youngsters overcome abuse or a bad start in life, and supports struggling mums and dads too, helping them cope better with caring for their wee ones.

Maggie’s Centres is a groundbreaking project helping people to deal with cancer and stay as healthy in mind and body as they can. The centres are also there to support families, friends and carers. One visitor summed it up: “I felt better as soon as I walked through the door.”

On lowlands, lochs and moors, Scotland’s wildlife is our magnificent natural heritage, and the Scottish Wildlife Trust helps keep it that way, running 120 nature reserves providing safe places for red squirrels, ospreys and many more species. Their centres help people get closer to nature safely.

Missing People provide support for Scotland's missing children, vulnerable adults and families left in limbo. The charity offers families of the missing with specialist advice and practical support and also searches - securing publicity that could end years of heartache.
