Amount raised to date: £78,601

We all know that wild places are under daily threat, as our towns develop and our countryside changes. The trust works tirelessly to protect the wildlife where you live, and make Yorkshire’s countryside a better place for wildlife and people.

The YWT cares for many endangered species, that without your help could be lost forever, such as the red squirrel and the badger – a rarely-seen but fascinating local animal. YWT spokesman Joe Cole explains:

"It’s great that the Postcode Lottery wants to get involved. With its financial help, we’ll be able to save more habitats, and more living creatures."

If you would like to show your support for Yorkshire’s countryside and its inhabitants, sign up to play the Postcode Lottery now, or visit the Trust's website for details on how to become a member.
