People’s Postcode Lottery Celebrate £1 MILLION given to Charity!

The People’s Postcode Lottery – and the charities that we’re proud to support – are celebrating raising an incredible £1,000,000 to good causes in Scotland, all within the first year of the lottery’s existence.

Our charity partners, Maggie’s Cancer Caring Centres, CHILDREN 1ST and Scottish Wildlife Trust have been receiving 40p from every £2 ticket sold by the People’s Postcode Lottery, helping them achieve amazing outcomes across Scotland.

Anne Houston, chief executive of CHILDREN 1ST said: “Support from the People’s Postcode Lottery means we can deliver vital services to children and their families. Thanks to the players of Scotland’s own charity lottery CHILDREN 1ST could fund our dedicated helpline for parents and carers, ParentLine Scotland for a year.

“With the commitment from the People’s Postcode Lottery CHILDREN 1ST can continue to build a brighter future for Scotland’s most vulnerable children and young people”.

So, from ourselves and our charities, we’d like to extend a big thank you to our players who have been instrumental in reaching this landmark amount of charity donations. Here’s to the future and to giving away even more to good causes in your region!
