40p from every ticket benefits charities local to you, with all the money raised in the country staying in the country. A huge £9 million has been raised for good causes to date. That’s charities helping families, children, cancer patients and wildlife to name but a few. Your support makes an enormous difference.

Maggie's Cancer Caring Centres

Maggie’s is an innovative cancer caring charity that provides free emotional support to anyone who has, or has had cancer. The centres also offer support for families, friends and carers. Maggie’s Centres are stimulating and uplifting in design and located next to major NHS cancer treatment centres Maggie’s Centres allow people to address all aspects of living with cancer. They can share their experiences with others in similar situations and, with professional help, inform themselves about the medical realities of their situation.

Opened in April 2008, Maggie’s London is the first of a series of Centres across England, as part of Maggie’s Joy of Living fundraising Campaign. Plans and fundraising are well underway for Centres in the Cotswolds, Oxford, Nottingham and the North East. Furthermore, initial talks are taking place about possible Centres in Leeds, Northampton and Birmingham, with future ambitions for many other sites across England.

How People's Postcode Lottery players help

Maggie's Centres aim is to have a centre in every hospital which has a cancer unit and People's Postcode Lottery players can help with this. Funds donated to Maggie's from People's Postcode Lottery will help Maggie's acheive this aim and players will be directly funding new centres across England.
