I’m Angus Purden and you’ll have seen me on TV. As a presenter for People’s Postcode Lottery, I love meeting our lucky winners and helping them celebrate!
If you see me coming down your street, you and your neighbours could all be winners. So you want to be sure you have a ticket – after all, it’ll be much more fun if you and your family can join in the party as well!
But People’s Postcode Lottery isn’t just about cash prizes. Every ticket sold helps charities local to you– whether that be Children North East or CHILDREN 1ST, Maggie’s Cancer Caring Centres or Missing People.
Angus was born and brought up in Scotland. His television career began behind the camera in news: Five News and GMTV where he developed a solid journalistic background.
Now courting the lens, he has become a familiar face on our TV screens presenting a mix of shows across various networks. He is best known for fronting six series of BBC One’s hugely successful antique show Cash In The Attic. Prior to this, he was the face of three series of Channel 4’s Room For Improvement on which he lent his design, interior and property buying skills to ninety-five home renovators.
Self-confessed property expert, Angus splits his time between London and a newly purchased property in Edinburgh.
Angus is currently studying Psychology (BSc Honours) at the Open University. His interests include travelling (so far, he has visited 37 countries), interiors, architecture, consumer issues and current affairs. He speaks fluent Italian.
Angus presents People’s Postcode Lottery sponsored quiz show ‘Postcode Challenge’.
